Description
Mauer Original Wedding Dress (a) with veil (b) and hoop (c), worn by Vivian Wingeier Feldman, 1950
Dress made of Organdy-like fabric features long sleeves, wide lace around bodice top and below waist. The dress has 10 cloth-covered buttons with loop closure in the back at neck and 6 cloth covered button closure at the bottom of the sleeves. There is a satin slip sewn in. The train is 72" or almost 7' long attached in the back at the bottom of the bodice.
(c) The hoop is a see-thru material netting with a hoop about 6" from the bottom to make the skirt flare out near the bottom.
(d) the veil is a see-thru material featuring a row of lace on the bottom edge and attached to a circular band that fits over the top of the head. Created by Wedding Fashions in Chicago.
